Shellfish Tag Overview
Our genuine Hallprint FPN glue-on shellfish tags are the industry's best tag for all shellfish species. The tags are made from flexible custom extruded and coated polyethylene, and printed using a unique heat and pressure process to ensure long lasting adhesion and permanent ID visibility. The tags are presented on strip rolls for easy detachment in ascending sequential number order. Published studies have shown tag retention exceeding 3 years at liberty in a harsh marine environment. Size Options
8 x 4 mm oval (type FPN 8x4). Our most popular size option, this can be produced with up to four alpha-numeric characters (eg A000 - A999). Also available as 8x4 mm "pairs", with duplicates of each tag ID printed adjacent to one another on the same roll for easy tagging of both sides of the bivalve shell.
2. 8 mm circle (type FPN 8x8). This can be produced with up to four alpha-numeric characters (e.g. A000 - A999).
3. 16 x 8 mm oval (type FPN 16x8). This can be produced with up to seven alpha-numeric characters per tag (e.g. A000001 - A001000).
